Sherwood (Sherod) DUNNAGAN (DOAS) Sr.
The DUNAGANS, CAINS, CARRINGTONS and WOODS were neighbors in Orange Co., NC. They resided near St. Mary's Church on Little River.
The DUNAGANS owned land on DUNNAGEN Mill Creek Road. Little River was near, or by William DUNNAGAN'S and CAIN's land. DUNNAGEN Mill Road of Durham, NC. is across from the CAIN's home of "HARDSCRABBLE", which now listed on the Historic Registry.
Sherwood Sr. is reported to have been stabbed by his uncle Charles, with Charles being tried in Court for the incident. Sherwood Sr. was listed in the 1790 Orange Co., NC. census with wife Dice appearing in the 1800 and 1810 report.
