Between 1888-1890, James (Jim) Dunagan and three of his sons, Hiram, Campbell and Jesse moved to Arkansas. Around 1894, they were working for the Ford Plantation west of Cotton Plant, Woodruff County.
That is where Campbell met his future wife and her family. The Ingrams had moved there from North Carolina. The Ingram family moved to Monroe County when Sarah (Sally) married Usher McKoy.
Moved to Arkansas at age 16.
He was a farmer-rancher and state legislator. He was identified as one of the most "substantial" men in Arkansas.
His first wife, Keziah Elliott, died. They had no children.
He and Susan Dunagan had fivechildren.
