Ada Hicks Dunagan
MIDLAND -- Ada Hicks Dunagan, 105, mother of an Abilene resident, died Monday.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Midland First Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Dyer officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. in Monahans Cemetery, directed by Ellis Funeral Home.Mrs. Dunagan was born in Bibb County, Ala., and moved to Scurry County as a child and Gaines County as a teenager. She moved to Midland in 1925. She was a member of the Music Club, Needle Craft Club and Alathean Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church and was the widow of John Claiborne Dunagan, whom she married in 1913 in Gaines County.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Reeves of Pharr, Lorena Jones of Midland and Virginia Hardy of Abilene; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
