His wife's initials were A. E.  She was born in TN.  The family was in Houston County, TX in 1860.


Absalom DUNNAGAN (DOAS) Jr.

Came from Tennessee to Texas by way of Missouri.  Arrived in Texas in 1848.

Reported to have been one of the '49ers who mined gold on the West Coast.

Given name was Margaret found in the 1870 Census. According to 1850 Census she was born in N.C., and in 1860 & 1870, AL. According to the 1870 Lamar Co. Census,Prec.#2, family #8, their children were; Charles C., William A., James C., Caril- A., Martha F.(or E.), Haris B., Thomas J., & Simon B. Dunagan.


Absalom H. DUNNAGAN (DOAS) Sr.

The first record of Absolom in Tennessee was in White County, where his taxes were recorded in 1817.  He was in adjoining Warren County in 1830. His 1832 taxes are the last record of him.


Charles C. DUNNAGAN (DOAS) Judge

Became a school teacher in 1873 and was master of Brushy Creek School in Delta County, Texas.
