Volunteered at Dobson 5 Jun 1861. There are two records of his death: (1) He died 24Sep 1862 at Winchestesr, VA, according to Confederate records. (2) He was killed 7 Nov 1863 at Rappahannock Station, VA, according to Roll of Honor.
He was recruited and enlisted 17 Aug 1862. He suffered a wound at Sharpsburg, MD, 17 Sep1862 and was back on duty four or five months later .. He died while at home before 21 Dec 1863, reason not given.
