He married (2) MELINDA BUTLER INGRAM 1809 in Warren County, Texas, daughter of IGANTIUS BUTLER and DELIA UNKNOWN. Notes for REUBEN BRAY:REUBEN BRAY: Edna Reece believes that Reuben was born about 1800. She says that Reuben and Rebecca Laffoon are listed on the 1830 Surry Co, NC Census. In the 1840 Census one amle is added, but age 15-20 years. Reuben is then missing in the 1850 Census, but shows again in the 1860. In the 1860 Census Reuben is living alone, age 60 years near a family named Butcher. Rebecca was the living with her family, the Laffoons, age 53. So, Reuben and Rebecca appear to have been separated or divorced by 1860. Edna B. Reece, THE BRAYS OF FISHER RIVER, page 14 Reubin Bray migrated to Giles County, TN.
