He served as pastor at Lewisville, Winchester, Muncie, Marion, Farmland, Jericho, Bear Creek, Kennard, Lewisville, and Raysville, in Ind. Long Beach, Calif., and Dayton, Ohio, and was a minister of the gospel for 54 years.
His pastorate at Long Beach was cut short by health conditions. ‘In both his pulpit and pastoral work he was outstanding and eminently successful.’ he never grew old. His keen sense of humor, his close sympathy with youth, his clean life, and his joy in living and service all tended to keep him young in spirit.” (R162).
