This Indenture made this twelth day of September in the year of Our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty-Three, between William Guthery and Sarah his Wife, of the County of Vermilion and State of Illinois, of the one part and Michael Guthery of the County of Vermilion and State aforesaid, on the other part, Witnesseth that the said William Guthery and Sarah his Wife, for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred and fifty Dollars, current money of the United States to them in hand paid at or before the Insealing and delivery of these presents, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained and sold; aliened, released, enfeoffed, conveyed and confirmed; and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell; alien, release, enfeoff, convey and confirm, unto the said Michael Guthery, and to his heirs and assigns, one certain tract or parcel of land, with the appurtenances, lying and being in the County of Vermilion and State of Illinois viz: "The South East Quarter of the South East quarter of Section Eight, in Township No Twenty, North, of Range Twelve West; containing Forty acres, being the same more or less;" and all the estate, right, title, claim, interest and fee of these the said William Guthery and Sarah his wife, of, in and to the same, To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land, with all the appurtenances, unto the said Michael Guthery forever; and the said William Guthery and Sarah his Wife, do covenent and agree with the said Michael Guthery, and with his heirs and assigns, that they will, and their heirs, executors and administrators shall, Warrant and forever Defend, the said tract or parcel of land, with all the appurtenances, unto the said Michael Guthery, and to his heirs and assigns, against all and every person or persons whatsoever, lawfully claiming onto claim the same.
