. John Henry Gaines m Lou Tribble, data of Margaret Anne (Webster) and Capt. Robert On Tribble, Townville, S.C. Margaret Anne (Webster) Tribble was half-sister of John Henry Gaines grandmother (on His mother's side), Polly (Webster) Smith. He was for many years a rural carrier at Honea Path, S.C.; many times President of Berry-Gaines-Harrison Reunion; and an experienced collector of items for family History. He actively supported all suggestions for a publication of the large amount of data gathered by many descendants of Hudson Berry, and kept alive interest in the Reunion during the war years when it was impossible to have the annual meetings.
