Oliver Lee DARNALL (DARNELL)

moved from Surry to Moore co., NC.

Ewell (Newell?) WHITAKER

Entered service CSA at Surry 1 Nov 1863.  He suffered a wound 22 Nov 1863 and again suffered a wound by a minnie ball in the hip 1 May 1864 at Spotsylvain Court House.  He was taken prisoner there and was a POW at Point lookout, MD.  He took the Oath of Allegiance 21 June 1865.  Pvt. Co B 2nd Battalion, NC

Joel BULLEN, (IN)

Volunteered 10 May 1861 and was in the first group to enlist at Dobson.
