She first married Nickolas Russos. He owned a tailor shop and she was a "tayloress" in the shop, according to the 1920 Census. Her mother also worked as a seamstress in an overall factory. Imo married second, Alex Emerson, and they had two children: Alex and Elizabeth, who is buried near her mother. According to her death certificate, Imo died of cardiovascular disease. Her occupation, according to the death certificate, is a seamstress for Model Tailors. Imo is a 2nd cousin, 4x removed to me. One daughter, Phebe, married at 15 aoung man from Conneticut, Jedediah Swan, who had come to live inScotch Plains, some years before. He became prosperous, owning land,horses and cattle, which he left in the care of his young wife whilehe was serving as a captain in the Army.
