Nancy Jane was the oldest child of Mary Polly Beeson & Samuel Jeffers. Nancy Jane marred Hoover 21 Sep 1856 Chariton, IA. Hoover's mother {Isabelle Beeson} was Mary Beeson aunt. Which means that Hoover's mother-in-law was also his 1st cousin. 1870 Census they are living in Madison, IA w/their children Samuel, Allice, Harry, John, Albert, & Frank. They live in Iowa for 17yrs when they needed to move south for Nancy Jane's health. Her mother, siblings & their families moved w/Nancy Jane and Hoover. 1880 Census they are living near Malty, MO w/their children Samuel, Alice, Harry, John, Albert, Mary & Clara. 5th child Frank died pior, not sure when.About half way to the springs they ran out of money, so they lived near Malty, Mo for about 6yrs. Their 4th child John Irwin died there. About 1881 the family arrived in Mineral Springs area❤~☆~✿•*•❤~☆~✿~☆~❤•*✿•~*❤*~•✿*•❤~☆~✿~☆~❤•*•✿~☆~❤Someone wrote 'Nancy' on a photo of w/Hoover, grandaughters Laura Ennis Russell & Ruby Ennis Stockton stated that it was his 2nd wife Mattie Rains. I belive they are correct due to the broch Mattie is wearing. It is the same as photo that is used for Obediah Hudson obit, her 1st husband.
