Peter and his family were one of the families invited by William Penn to come to American, to the state of Pennsylvania to settle on free land. He, Anna and family arrived in Philadelphia on October 28,1738 on the ship "Bilander Thistle" and they settled in Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania. Not all of these stayed in Penn. Many moved down inot Virginia or points south before the Revolutionary War.1:240 shows a list on a Palatines aboard the ship "Bilander Thistle" of Philadelphia.
