Emigrated from Yorkshire, England, Northumberland County, Virginia, in1653. James Dashiell immigrated to Somerset County, Maryland, in 1663,bringing with him his wife, Ann Dashiell; his son, James Dashiell, andhis niece, Elizabeth Dashiell, who was nine years of age.
