Death: Feb. 18, 2005 West Reading Berks County Pennsylvania, USAWilliam R. Putt, 79, Womelsdorf, died Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Reading Hospital. His wife, Marian L. (Auchenbach) Putt, died Aug. 7, 1997. Born in Robesonia, he was a son of the late Jacob F. and Esther (Klopp) Putt. Putt had been employed for 42 years as a carpenter by Berkshire Greens Inc., Flying Hills, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Womelsdorf. Putt served on the board of Womelsdorf Union Cemetery. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Putt is survived by two sons. Other survivors include a brother, Charles, Robesonia, and five sisters: Anna Mae (Putt) Kiscadden and Mabel (Putt) Speicher, both of Robesonia; Marian (Putt) Hummel, Cornwall, Lebanon County; Pauline (Putt) Benson, Palmyra, Lebanon County; and Norma (Putt) Planak, Sining Spring. There is also one granddaughter. Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Zion UCC. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
