Death: Feb. 25, 2007 Avon Park Highlands County Florida, USAWife of Henry Clyde Woodruff. Daughter of Prochons Calel Marshall and Margaret Irene Martin Marshall. Mrs. Kizzire Marshall Woodruff, 101, of Sebring, FL, formerly of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007, at Royal Care Nursing Home of Avon Park, FL. Mrs. Woodruff was born December 2, 1905, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Protch and Margaret Martin Marshall. She was retired from G.C. Murphy Company in Washington DC, a homemaker, and a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Leroy Jenkins of Sebring, FL; two sisters-in-law, Ima Thomas of Mount Airy and Stacy Thomas of Clemmons; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Evelyn Jones and Ella "Polly" Puckett, both of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodruff was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clyde Woodruff. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, March 1, 2007 at 11:00 at Maple Grove United Methodist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Max Gardner and the Rev. Bruce Johnson, and burial will follow in the Maple Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Maple Grove Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 192 Crane Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030, or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Ephraim was engaged with his father Hiel in the manufacture of furniture at
Malta. Later, Ephraim was in the livery business in Zanesville. Here his wife
Sarah died in 1878. In 1886 Ephraim was a house builder in Belton, Missouri,
where he had married second Sally ?.
Mrs. Maurice Lance lives at Jordan, Mont. Milo Lance her son is known far and near from his patient kindness, integrity as well as honest industry. There are other children and grandchildren worthy of mention but we do not have their names or addresses.
Dorothy Peterson was born in Smith Co., Kansas, January 23, 1881 and married Maurice Lance, Jan. 7, 1901 at Forsyth Montana. Their three children are Earl Lance, born Feb. 18, 1902; Fredrick lane, August 21, 1903; Milo Lance, Feb. 24, 1905. Their three boys are married, only Milo’s address in known; Miles City, Mont.
