Married to Samuel L. Jeffers January 10, 1841 in Clark County, Illinois.Obituary as received from Vicky: "Died, Friday, June 27, 1902, __ (clipping torn) ma Jeffries. Her maiden name __ (torn) Beeson.
She was born Feb. 1__ (torn) When a child her parents lived in Indiana and at the age of 17 her parents moved to Illinois where she married Samuel Jeffries. In a few years they moved to Iowa remaining for a time then moved to Barton County, Mo. Her husband went to California where he secured a neat fortune.
He wrote home that at a certain date he would take the vessel for home, he got on at the stated time and strangely disappeared and never was heard of.
She remained a widow until death. She was the mother of five children three of whom went on before her, two still living, John Jeffries of Mineral and Mrs. Fipps of Exeter.
About twenty years ago with these two children she moved from Barton to Barry County where she remained until death. She had eighteen grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren. She professed religion early in life, joined the United Brethern chrch, later she was a member pf the Methodist church.
She was buried Sunday at Mineral Spring after religious service by Rev. J. W. Ennes.
