She was also preceded in death by her husband, H. Celwyn Gibbs, Sr., who died in 2000.Mrs. Gibbs retired from Kearfott Co., Inc. She was a graduate of Asheville Normal School, where she received a degree in education. She was also a member of the Swannanoa Women's Club, and an active member of Swannanoa United Methodist Church, where she held many offices.Mrs. Gibbs is survived by her sons, Tom Gibbs and wife Judy, of Weaverville, Harry C.
