Andrew H. Trask died at his home on the Old Trask Farm December 2, 1902. He was born in Washington County Missouri in 1829. The son of Putnam and Polly Campbell Trask. The family moved to Crawford County in 1838. In 1850 Andrew and his father went to California and successfully engaged in gold mining. In 1853 Andrew was married to Lucy Moutray and to this union fourteen children were born. Seven are still living. Josiah, Henry S., Frances O., Samuel I., Napoleon B, Melvin, and Julius. Mr. Trask was a sergeant in Co.32 Mo. Vol. Infantry during the Civil War. Burial in the Trask Cemetery on Dry Creek.
