Bob was born on February 10, 1924 in Barnet, VT. He joined the Navy in February of 1941 and served 6 years in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Bob met Mary Nally in 1946 and married her on October 18, 1946. Together they raised three sons, Steven, of Boise, Barry, of Portland and Edward, of Molalla. Bob provided well for his family, while he worked for Emerson Electric in southern California for 18 years. He was in upper management for Quality Control, Personnel, and Safety. Throughout their life together, Bob and Mary enjoyed traveling the U.S. and Europe, making many wonderful memories. Bob will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by Mary Somers, his wife of nearly 66 years; his oldest son, Steven and granddaughter, Amy Burden, with husband, Tyler and three great-granddaughters; his second son, Barry, with partner, Gloria; and youngest son, Edward, with wife, Janelle and granddaughter, Shane'. The funeral service will be held August 22, 10 am at Idaho Veterans Cemetery. A reception will follow at the family home.
