[] Believe that Andrew is the son of John Diver as they are theonly Divers in Monroe between 1820 and 1840(census years). A Mr. Diverwas an early mail carrier between Cleveland, Eire and Ft. Meigs(Monroe), this would have been by horseback and it was probably Andrewand not his father John. Andrew was born 1796 in New York unknownlocation. In 1820 (census) Andrew is shown with a female 16-16 years (born 1794-1804 ) presumed to be his wife. Monroe County has apopulation of only 1,833 at that time and only 8,765 in the entirestate (territory). In 1830 the county has a population of 3,187 and thestate (territory) a population of 27,378. Andrew is listed with 1 male5-10 years old ( born 1820-1825 ), 1 female under 5 years, 3 females5-10 years and 1 female 40-50 years (wife). In 1840 the county hasgrown to 9,229. Andrew is listed as A.J. in Lasalle township with 1male 15-20 years (John),2 females 10-15 and 1 female 15-20 years. There is no female listed that would be the age to be his wife, perhaps she had died before 1840. In 1850 Andrew is listed as being 54years old, born in New York, occupation farmer and residing inRaisinville Township. Believe that he has remarried. His wife is namedFanny age 47, born in Canada (which Monroe would have been in 1803,unknown exactly where she was born). It also lists the followingchildren; Henry Freden age 10, born in Michigan, Lucinda age 8, bornin Michigan and Nancy Ann age 2, born in Michigan. It is believed thatsince Henry's last name is Freden he is not Andrew's child. The censusdoes not give a last name for the girls, however their names followafter Henry's and it is believed that their last name is Freden also, since it was common in census taking to only write the last name onceat he top of the list. Children of Andrew J and first wife, 1 son and4 daughters; John born Jan. 18, 1821 in Monroe Mary bornabout 1825 probably in Monroe Daug. born 1820-1825 Daug. born1820-1825 Daug. born 1820-1825 Believe that his first wife wasborn between 1794-1804 unknown location and that she died before 1840,unknown when or where she is buried.
