Elizabeth Jacobs Jambers, of Whitsett, Texas, passed away in SanAntonio on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the age of 88. She was bornin San Antonio, Texas to Andrew and Olga Jacobs on Sept. 9, 1919. Sheattended school in San Antonio, and worked with the Civil Service atFt. Sam Houston during World War II. It was there she met her futurehusband, George T. Jambers, Jr. They married in 1947 and moved toMcMullen County, where they resided for the next 60 years. She was amember and supporter of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church inCampbellton, Texas. She was also a proud member and suporter of theTexas Parks and Wildlife Assoc. and Habitat for Humanity. Elizabethwas preceded in death by her parents, and by her loving husband,George. Services will be on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 at the Sacred HeartCatholic Church at 2:00 pm in Campbellton, Texas. Burial will followat San Fernando Cemetery #2 in San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers,the family asks that donations be made to Sacred Heart CatholicChurch, or to Feed The Children. You are invited to sign the guestbookat www.hurleyfuneralhome.com.
