A memorial service for Estolee Ellis Sharpe will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Greenleaf Friends Church preceded by private burial at 1:30 for family.
Estolee Sharpe passed away January 12, 1996 in Newberg, Oregon.  Estolee was born in Allen, Nebraska, December 13, 1910 to Ray and Nellie Tuning Ellis. In 1926 she moved to Greenleaf, Idaho with her parents and sisters.  In 1929 Estolee graduated from Greenleaf Friends Academy, after which she attended Pacific College (now George Fox College) in Newberg, Oregon.  She worked as a waitress and manager in restaurants in Caldwell & Burley, Idaho and other locations.
In 1940 Estolee married Milton Sharpe in Mt. Vernon, Washington. Together they lived in California, Mexico City, Washington, and retired in Newberg, Oregon. She loved music, flowers and traveling.
Her husband Milton Sharpe of Newberg, Oregon and her sister Ember Roberts of Nampa, Idaho and numerous nephews and nieces treasure memories of Estolee.  Preceding her in death is her sister Edith Comfort of Newberg, Oregon, formerly of Greenleaf, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers her family suggests memorial gifts be designated for Greenleaf Friends Academy.


Allison BURLEY

Allison was the fifth child of John Burley and his second wife, Sally Eliza Hurley. He married Amy Jane Seaman, May 9, 1853, in Meaford, Ontario, Canada. Allison and Amy immigrated to the U.S. in 1869. They had eleven children and farmed an 80 acre homestead near Osceola, Nebraska.

Several years after Amy's death, Allison married Urania (McLean) Seaman (1849-1937), widow of his brother-in-law, Peter Howard Seaman.

Amy Jane was born in Elizabethtown, Ontario to David and Hulda (Mallory) Seaman. She married Allison Burley in 1853. Amy tragically died in a house fire, at 40 years of age, leaving her husband, Allison to contend with the hardships of a pioneer life with nine children.
