Prudence Clayton, 1657, Eldest daughter of William Clayton of Chichester
and Prudence Mickels. She married XI-10, 1676, Burlington, N.J. Henry
Reynolds, son of William Reynolds and Margaret Exton. Henry Reynolds was born in what is now East Nottingham, Cecil Co., Maryland in 1655. His parents, Wiliam Reynolds and Margaret Exton were born in England. They were married in 1640 and came to West Nottingham in 1641. (This event occured only 21 years after the landing of the Mayflower). The first house on the property that they settled was built in 1641. The present house was errected in 1791. The Reynolds farm, located just west of Rising Sun is the oldest home in Cecil Co. to have been continuously owned by the same family since it's construction. The prestent owner is the 9th generation of William Reynolds. In 1767 the Mason and Dixon line were surveyed just north of the Reynolds property.
Prudence Clayton died in Chester Co., Penn. in 1728. Henry Reynolds 37
died in 1714.Born in Rumbaldswick Parish, Sussex, England.
