Married Jeremiah Reynolds on 25 nov 1812.Married Jeremiah Reynolds 25 Nov. 1812. This Jeremiah was also reported to be the son of Lewis Reynolds and Sarah Stanton. Lewis is son of Wm Reynolds III and Ann Hutton. Wm III is son of Wm Reynolds and Mary Browne. I could not quite match it that way and believe that the line was attributed wrongly but need this lineage to correct or document this further. Larry Anderson

William Clayton born abt. 1590, will dated 1658, copied by Louis E. Jones, 1982-April-16 (Chichester Misc. wills 1653-1658, Vol 21 B, pg. 59; Consistor Court Will Register, 1653-1658 STC1/21B, in West Sussex Record Office, Chichester) No probate located. Married #1) 1631-Oct 30 Boxgrove Parrish, Joan Smith, who was buried 1644-Apr-27 (A calander of the Parish of Boxgrove, Sussex 1560-1812, by W. D. Peckham, 1946). Married 2) 1644, Elizabeth Simmons, buried 1638-Oct-16. His will indicated that he was a Timberman. (Lumber dealer) Resided in the Parish of Pancras without the East Gate of Chichester, Sussex. It lists son 1) William, 2) Richard (not yet 21 yrs of age), 3) Thomas (not yet 21 yrs of age, placed with Thomas Coby until the first day of May, next ensuing the date of his 21st birthday) Daughters 4) Elizabeth who received a bequest of 40 shellings one year after his decease, possibly a dowery for an anticipated marriage, and youngest daughter 5) Mary, a daughter by his second marriage.
Grandchildren William and Prudence Clayton, children of William. Also
named John Peche of Pegham as bondsman. Will Steel as miller living without
the East Gate of Chichester, and John Avery, formerly of Chichester as auditors and Thomas Hopkins and John Rogers as witnesses. Totally bequests over the ensuing 20 years totalled 161 shellings, a sizeable estate at that time.William Clayton of Chichester, Suxxex, England made his last will and testament 1 Feb.1658/59 at Pancras Parish, Chichester, Suxxex, England. This document indicates that he was a timberman residing in the Parish of Pancras without the East Gate of Chichester, Suxxex.

Walter (probably eldest), named with his mother as a co-executor), 2) William
(probably second eldest, named with Thomas Pinfold to assist his mother and
older brother in their duties as executors) 3) Mathew, 4) Richard 5) Thomas
daughters 6) Mary, wife of Richard Martin and 7) Elizabeth.
Witnesses Thomas Penfold, William Clayton, Thomas Clayton and Richard
Clayton.
Thomas Clayton was buried in the Churchyard at Rudgwick. NOTE: A son who
