Came up from the Mississippi River from St. Louis on a Steam Boat. Grandmas Grand Uncle Huigh Harrison wa Mayor of Minneapolis in 1868. Her Grand Uncles Thomas and Hugh were both quite prominent in the banking business, having organized the Securty Bank of Minneapolis in 1878. Her Great Grandfather, the Reverent Thomas Harrison, wa an ordained Methodist Minister. He preached for many years twice a week, but he also had a farm to run when the family lived naer Bellville, Illinois. He was born Dec 13, 1779 in George, married margaret Galbraith who was bron in Yourk Co., So. Carolina. They moved to IL in 1803, when the state was almost unbroken wilderness.
