His brother-in-law, Robert Wilson, willed to Thomas Babb his large sword and his coat [will of 3 Oct. 1791] "in case I lose my life in this conflict." Robert was killed by Indians on 4 Nov. 1791, in OH at the battle sometimes called St. Clair's Defeat. He had been part of a military expedition under General Arthur St. Clair to subdue the Indians in that regions. They were surprised in this camp on the Wabash River by the Indians and suffered heavy losses.
