I was 2 1/2 years old when my daddy died, so I don't remember him. Just heard some of the family talk about him. He farmed and carried the mail from Bee Branch to up on a mountain. Mother said he would get so cold in winter months he would have ice tags hanging from his nose. His feet would be so cold she would heat a big rock for him when he came by the house. He would put it under his feet. He had a big lap robe over him.
