Blaine C. Hardy
Blaine C. Hardy of Yakima died Thursday at Providence Yakima Medical Center. He was 89.
Born in Vernal, Utah, Mr. Hardy was an educator who taught in Arizona before teaching in Wapato and Prescott, Wash. He taught classes at Yakima Valley Community College from 1965 until his retirement in 1973.
He is survived by two sons, B. Carmon Hardy of Orange, Calif., and Gerald D. Hardy of Redmond, Wash.; one daughter, Karma Hardy Jordan of Pacific, Wash.; one brother, Harold Hardy of Layton, Utah; one sister, Arline Heaton of Provo, Utah; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, First Ward of Yakima, 705 S. 38th Ave. Burial will be in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Merritt Funeral Home.
