Boyd Hunting, 91, of American Fork passed away October 25, 2001.
He was born July 6, 1910 in Pleasant Grove (Manila), Utah to James Henry and Bessie Engberson Hunting.
Boyd never married and instead devoted his life to family and the family farm.
At the age of 14, Boyd's family bought a farm in American Fork where they built a home. Boyd lived there and helped save the farm during the depression by planting sugar beets.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews: Claude Lamph, James (Nancy) Lamph, Cassie (Neal) Allred, Burl (Yula) Hunting, June (LaMar) Bundy, Joy (Richard) Grimm, Belva (Melvin) Gardiner. He was preceded in death by his four brothers: Ferol, Wayne, Claude, and Vaughn in addition to his two sisters: Iva and June.
Graveside services will be held Monday, October 29, 2001 at 11 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 S. 300 E., Pleasant Grove and on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m.
