He owned ranches consecutively in Moorcroft and Gillett, Wyoming, and Elgin and Hermiston, Oregon.  He was rancher, journalist, poet, cowboy and judge.  A versitle man who lived joyously, loved people and they him.  Lodges: Mason, K.P., Elk; a shriner of the Masons.  Buried in Hermiston, Oregon.

Hillary Anderson PEEL, PEELE

He enrolled for service at Flat Shoal 27 Mar 1862.   He was hospitalized 4 Jun 1863, later captured in Jackson Hospital at Richmond 3 Apr 1865 and turned over to the Provost marshal 14 Apr 1865. pvt. Co E 53 Reg NC
