Was bit by a black widow spider but the hospital treated him for malaria..

Rev. Carey Bird (Byrd) DENNY

Was conscripted and enlisted 15 Oct 1864 when he was 18.  He had measles according to the family before he was taken prisoner 8 Apr 1865 and was a POW at Richmond.  He received parole 21 Apr 1865.
He became a Primitive Baptist Preacher after the war.  He also served in State Legislature 1891.

Eleanor Amanda GORDON

   She was called Ellen.
