On Saturday, April 6, 2013, LaNeta Hendrickson Taylor quietly left this earth to return to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
LaNeta, born to Arthur Frederick and Edna LeBaron Hendrickson on October 27, 1912, in Santaquin, Utah, grew up in Santaquin and West Mountain.
She married her eternal companion, Don Eldon Taylor, in the Salt Lake Temple, June 28, 1933. Together they served a Family History mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and enjoyed years of service as temple workers in the Salt Lake Temple.
Active in her community, she could always be counted on to offer help and comfort to anyone in need. She loved children and spent many hours in committees for their benefit.
She was an active member of the Church, serving in many leadership and teaching positions. She loved literature; she was an avid reader, and an excellent teacher to both children and adults. She could often be found seated on the floor, surrounded by books, preparing for lessons, talks, readings, or tributes.
She deeply loved her family, spending much of her time crocheting afghans for each of her children and grandchildren, a lasting legacy of her love for them.
LaNeta is survived by her sons Eldon A. (Gloria) Taylor of Portland, Oregon, Dennis L. (Doyleen) Taylor of Knoxville, Tennessee, Richard B. (Kimberly) Taylor of Kaysville, Utah, a daughter Maureen (Richard) Spackman of Englewood, Colorado, 26 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and 18 great- great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don, and a son Farrell J. (Beverly) Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at Deseret Mortuary, 36 E. 700 S. Salt Lake City, on Friday, April 12, 2013, at 11:00 am. There will be a viewing one hour before the service and the interment will follow at Payson City Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
