Barbara FRETZ

Barbara was the 2nd wife of her brother-in-law, Abraham Moyer, who's 1 st wife was her sister Susanna.  There were no children.  They are listed on page 111 of the Fretz Family History and Genealogy.  He and Susanna had 2 children which I'm sure Barbara raised.

John Prevost REDDING

John died Renton, King, Washington.

    A lifelong resident of King County, John died July 17, 1998.  Born on April 29, 1928, John attended Richmond Beach and Edmonds High Schools, graduation in 1946.  He served with the U.S. Army in Korea.  Worked on the Seattle Waterfront for 37 years with ILWU, Local 19, retiring in 1988.  He was a member of the NRA and the Elks, Issaquah Lodge No. 2546. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening & sports, and recently returned from an extended Alaskan fishing trip.  John was happy to be around people, and especially his children.  He was upbeat and his sense of humor will never be forgotten.  Survived by his wife, Sally; and children, Mike,Pat, Chris,Dan, Laurie, Barry, Kathy, Brian & Linda.  He also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  His brothers, Bob and Harry Reddingreside in Laurel, MT. and Nachez, WA., respectfully.  Funeral arrangements by Evergreen-Washelli, 11, 1111 Ave. N., viewing 11 AM to 8 PM Thursday.  Memorial Service 1 PM Friday, July 24.  Donations to Northwest Harvest suggested.

         Eastside Seattle Times, July 22, 1998

    A memorial service for John Provost (s/b Prevost) Redding of Renton, will be at 1 PM Friday, at Evergreen - Washelli in Seattle.  Visitation will be from 11 AM to 8 PM Thursday.  Mr. Redding died Friday of a heart attack at his home.  He was 70.  Born 4/29/28, in Seattle.  Mr. Redding served with the Army in Korea.  He was a Longshoreman for 37 years and had been retired for 11 years.  Mr. Redding was a member of the ALWU, Local 19, The National Rifle Association, and Issaquah Elks Lodge 2546. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening & sports.  He recently returned from an extended fishing trip to Pelican, Alaska.  Survivors include his wife, Sally Redding, children Michael Redding of Kent, Patrick Redding of Maryland, Dan Redding of Vancouver, Wash., Kathy Luesson of Fall City, Christy Scheufele of Oregon, Laurie Hall of Oregon, Linda Johnson of Alaska, Barry Kenney of Seattle and Brian Kenney of Bellingham:  brothers Bob Redding of Laurel, Mt. and Harry Redding of Nachez.
