Tanguay's Dictionairre Vol. 1, Page 218 and Vol. 3, Page 55g. Shirley Beezley has Louis's death date as 1710/1724. Louis Dupuis was a trapper and died probably in Indian country.
Dubeau dit Dubau. Shirley Beezley has their marr. date as 5 Jan., 1688.
21 September 1999, rec'd info from Shirley off of Internet, stating that Barbe Dubeau was born in Paris, Seine, France.

Stephen Davis, prominent pioneer, purchased a little place on Rocky Run, in the east-central area of the Washington Township, in Union Co., Ohio. (Survey # 9917)
He was born in Maryland and removed when a young man to Bourbon Co., Kentucky. There he remained until 1808, when he came to Ohio.
He first lived in Brown Co., and then Pickaway Co. He moved from the last place and came to Union Co. with his wife, Sarah. He remained on the farm there, until his death. He was influential among his neighbors and highly esteemed.
Of Stephen's large family of children, Ebenezer was the only one to move with his father to Ohio. He arrived in 1832 from Pickaway Co., to Union Co., then settled in Jackson Township,and then to Washington Township, in 1837.
He succeeded his father in the possession of the farm, and also, succeeded to the esteem in which his father was regarded.
Ebenezer died 2 May 1867. His widow, Mary, was still alive when this history was written in 1883.
Our ancestor, Stephen Davis, was one of Ebenezer's sons. He married an Abigail J. or Z. (or Marthe on another document.) These women seem to be the same person. We will do furthor searching to be sure.
