Nele DAVIS

In 1880, Nile 43, and Mary, 34, had Ezra, 16, and Elizabeth Myrtle in their
household.  (1880 census, Sauk Co., Wis. Woodland #196.)  In the late 1880's
many of the Valton families migrated to a new Quaker colony at Whittier, Calif.
Nele, his wife, James Ezra and Myrtle joined the migration.  It was in
Whittier that Nele died.  Ezra and Myrtle also died in Calif.!    Davis, A Quaker Family page 248-9.
    Nele ( spelled exacly this way and pronounced Neeley)  Davis accompanied
his parents to Ind about 1830.  On 18 Aug 1847 at Springfield MM, Wayne Co.,
Ind., Ruth Mills Davis was disowned for marriage contrary to discipline.  She
was a neice of Ezra Davis's sister in law Rebecca Osborn Davis.
