Elijah Bryant, 89, died sunday moring at 9-00 in the Charleston Hospital, where he was taken Thursday for medical treatment following a fall Wednesday at the home of a grandson in Duratur where he was visiting. He was born in Prise, Illinois on October 2, 1855 and was a resident of Rardin for years, where he operated a grocery store. He cames to Charleston to live at the death of his wife in July, 1935 and has made his home with a son Charles Bryant, at 1102 Jefferson St.
Besides his son Charles, he leaves another son Walter, of Frankfort, Indiana; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
