Charles Davis transferred from Cherry Grove MM., Randolph Co., Ind. to Salem MM., Henry Co., Iowa in 1839.
Charles and Eunice were married at Salem MM, were given a certificate to
Spring Creek MM in 1853, and were set off with Bangor MM, Marhsall Co. The
Bangor records listed the names of the children and some of the birth dates.
Charles' will, dated 13 Mar 1889, was probated in Marshall Co., Iowa. It
named his wife Eunice and son Joseph W. Davis. Witnesses were W.H. Hickman and J.D. Jones. The estate papers named his children (Ethalene was called Lena E.) and indicated that the family lived at Union, Hardin, Iowa except for Joseph who was at Ewing, Neb. Charles owned 140 acres and 2 tracts in Marshall Co., and a lot in Union, Hardin Co., Iowa. Charles and Eunice were buried in Bangor Cem, Marshall Co., Iowa.
There was a Joseph W. Davis who at 24 on 3-9-1887 married Florence E.
Bowman in Hardin Co., Iowa. This may or may not have been Charles' son.
