Obituary
Jesse G. Tipton 74 of Redford Township, Detroit Michigan died there Tuesday, May 27 1986 at St.
Mary's hospital. He was born in Lee County ,Kentucky,was Shiner, and was a member of Owensboro Masonic
Lodge No. 130.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Tipton: wo sons Winfred Tipton of Weatherford Oklahoma, and Robert Tipton of Owensboro; daughter Gloia Jackson of Owensboro; eight
grandchildren; a great grandchild; three brothers, Willard Tipton of Hopkinsville, Onley Tipton
of hartford, and Wyne Tipton of Owenesboro, Three sisters, Clara Durbin of Monroe Michigan, Wanda Royal of Lexington Ila Adcock of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Service are at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Charles R. Step Funeral home, 18425 Beech-Daly Road,
Redford Township, detroit Michigan; and 10:30 a,m. at tour Lady of Loretto Chuch. Burial in
Holy Sepuicher Cemetery, Southfield Michigan.
Visitation after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.On February 28 1934 the following was a judgment of the Lee County circuit court as follows.
This cause having been submitted for judgment, the defendant Jesse G. Tipton being before the
court and it appearing that the defendant has settled all alimony and maintenance of the child-
Winfred, to the satisfaction of the plaintiff Beatrice Tipton, and the court being advised from the
pleading and proof therein, is of the opinion the plaintif Beatrice Tipton, is entitled to relief
sought therein. It is therfore order and adjudged by the court that the plaintiff be and is hereby
granted an absolute divorce from the defendant, and the bonds of matrimony heretofore existing
between them are hereby set aside and held for naught, and the plaintiff restored to all the rights andprivileges of an unmarried woman, and restored to her maiden name Beatrice Cox, and is
awarded the care and custody of the infant-Winfred, and the father, the defendant is permitted to see
the child at all reasonable times.The paper herein are filed away and this cause stricken from the docket.

Beatrice was married to my father Jesse Tipton about 4 years and were divorced.
she later married Grant Walling in Irvine Kentucky and remained until his death in
1986.She worked at Carhartt's in Irvine until retirement, and lived on Broadway in
Irvine until she became ill in 1992.September 19, 1997
Beatrice died September 14, 1997 at the Marcum & Wallace hospital in Irvine Kentucky after about 3 years in the nursing home unable to communicate with anyone the last 2 years.I just returned today from the funeral and at the age 84 her face was not wrinkled and she looked
much younger
