Harold; In 1917 enlisted in the Regular Army an spent two years with Second Division, in France and the Army of Occupation in Germany> He was again in the Army from 1930 until his death. He was on Iwo Jima fpr a year, going from there to Fort Ruger, Honolulu, in December of 1945. He was with the Hawaiian Artilliary Command and was in Georgetown Texas on leave when he died 16 July, 1946. He had the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and was entitled to wear seven decorations for World War I sevice and five decoration for World War II service. He was in the Army for 18 years and was wounded at Iwo Jima.
