    In 1880 soundex Hiram Tipton is in Grundy Co. Liberty Twp.  He is listed on sheet 1 line 44 as 28 yrs old, b. IL, wife Mary 20, b. TX, Son Webster 3, b. MO, Sarah A. 5 mos., B. Mo and Andrew 5 Mos., B. MO.  Also lised in cemetary records for Sullivan County, Haley Cemetary near Gault Tipton Ida May & Rosy Lee daughters of N? & M.F. died Nov. 1878, age 5 days, may possibly be Hiram's.

     Hiran died at the age of 85 and that the funeral was held at Elmwood Church: Hiram Tipton, 85, leaves a descentant for each year he lived, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs Wilma Deeds 802 South Fourth  Street... Mr Tipton was born in Stockton County, Illinois, Jan 29, 1852. He He came with his parents(and brother and sisters) to Missouri when two years of age, (by Ox Team) and most of this life in Sullivan County. He was married to Marry Frances Boyd , April 13, 1876. Seventeen children were born, two pairs of twins dying in infancy... death was attributed to a complecation of diseases. He was buried from the Church, ten miles north of Milan Missouri.
    He is survived by his wife, and thrteen children: Mary (Wife), N.W. Tipton, Newton; A. N. Tipton , Lucerne; Mrs. W. I. Lowry, Lucerne, Mrs. W. H. Sanders, Osgood; Mrs. J. T. Sanders, Caldwell, Idaho; J. E. Tipton, Lemons; Mrs. N. L. Montgomery, Newtwon; Mrs. H. R. Sinclair, Lewiston; D. G. Tipton, Kansas City and Mrs. Deeds, Kirkville; 46 granchildren and 26 great grandchildren, tow sisters, Mrs. Mary High and Mrs. Emma Devers, and one brother, Samuel Tipton.


Mary Frances BOYD

Obituary
    Mary Frances Boyd Glaze, daughter of James and Armilda Boyd, was born near Bonham, Texas  Aug. 4 1859 and departed this life March 12 1938, at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Presley Cassity, 2 miles sounth of Milan. She was left and orphan at the age of three years. Her mother died when she was two and her father died in the Civil War, one year later. She was taken at the age of two by Andrew and Sarah Glaze and tenderly reared as their daughter. Her foster parents were Killed in a tornado at Kirkville, April 27, 1898. She was united in marriage to Hiram Tipton on April 13 1876.
