OBITUARY Priscilla E. Tipton was born March 20th, 1845, at Jerusalem, Ohio, Monroe Co., Ohio, and passed away at her home near Webber, Kansas, June 30th, 1920 age 75 years, 3 months and 10 days. She was united in marriage to Joseph Tomlinson January 18, 1866. To this union were born two daughters, Luna and Lura. At the early age of 14 years she made public profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and joined the Methodist Church of Jerusalem, Ohio. Her life was one of faithful loving service. She died of pneumonia, and her passing was a shock to the community, although she said, "If this is my last sickness, it is all right." Her husband preceded her to that better world six months ago. surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. W.B. Barkley and Miss Lura Tomlinson, two sisters: Mrs. Loretta Mann, of Bostwick, Nebraska, and Mrs. Elmyra Johnson of Fulllerton, California; two brothers, David Tipton of Morehead, Kansas, and Luke Tipton of Jerusalem, Ohio; one grandson, Everett Barkley, and a host of friends. Services in Presbyterian Church at Webber, Kansas, by the Rev. McKay of Bennington, Kansas; buried in the Webber cemetery. Source: "We Tiptons and Our Kin" by Rev. Ervin Tipton
