Andrew and Sarah lived at Rock Springs, in the northwest corner of the state of Georgia, in the area known as the "Peavine District" (1870 census). Andrew and his wife Sarah are buried in Rock spring Cemetery next to Rock Spring Methodist Church, Rock Spring, GA. People currently living on the farm confirm seeing tombstones in the fields with the HICKS surname on them as well. The 1830 cens us for Walker Co., GA, listed "10-white persons" in the household of Andrew J. Hicks. When Andrews' will was probated in 1900, his son Mashack lived in Lutie, Ozark Co, MO and other of his children in Brownbranch, Taney Co, MO. His daughter Mary lived at Chickamauga, GA, his son A.J., Sarah, and Margaret lived at Rock Springs, GA.
