In the Patrick County Death Records 1870-1896, there is this information:

Also in this Death Records for 1870-1896 are death information for Burwell's daughters, Jane, 26 Mar 1892; Mary, 11 Feb 1884 and Nancy, 4 Dec 1891. Also for Burwell's son, James B. Smith, 28 Apr 1892.   Burial was in a small family cemetery in the woods a short distance southeast of Bell Spur Primitive Baptist Church on what was the Dexter Turman farm in Patrick County, Va.

Paul CASTLEBERRY

This is notes recieved from Paula Williams, from NJ.

 SGT. Paul Castleberry, born 1761 on the Tar River in VA., is foundalong with John & William Castleberry on census records, of 1790 inSpartanburg Co., SC.  Records show that Paul, John, & William allreceived land grants for services in the REVOLUTIONARY WAR, & aftger thewar, they settled in Spartanburg Co., SC., probably along with theirother brothers & sisters.  In 1791, Paul Castleberry witnessed a sale ofproperty made by William & Elizabeth Castleberry.  Paul probably marriedhis first wife in SC.  They were parents of eleven children.  Her name isthought to have been Agnes Chesney.

Children by first wife and the children by second wife Nancy Gillespieare listed by name in his will, Spartanburg Co., SC Courthouse records.
