John Calvert 6-29 1781-1839
John Calvert moved from Washington Co.,Tennessee about 1809 from Loudon Co. They later moved to Cooper Co. Mo. and then to Pettis Co. He settled in Jolly's bottom. He was one of the pioneers in this county.He was killed by a mule in an accident associated with raising a horse mill for Gabriel Brown, a near neighbor. His will was written Sept. 9,1839. It was recorded December 5, 1839. The will mentions his wife, Dorcas, his sons Leonard and William and his daughters Ursula Carson,Nancy Dixon and Elizabeth Taylor. No mention is made of his son John.The will is recorded on page 119 A in the Will records of 1820-1870 in Cooper County, Missouri.

D A R Patriot Index for 1966.William was a founding member of the Limestone-Cherokee Creek BaptistChurch in Washington Co., Tennessee.
Elizabeth Nodding 7-58 1761-1826
Elizabeth had a brother, William, who died in Washington Co.Tennessee. His will dated Sept. 15, 1792, mentions his sister Elizabeth, his father William Nodding, a nephew John Calvert, a brother John Nodding, and sisters Elinor Hill, Sarah McCray, Mary Bayles, and Alis Brown.
