John and Mary Tipton, They lived in the old Tipton home at Elizabethton, Carter county, Tennessee, in the Watauga river Valley, in which five generation of Tipton have lived. He had a brilliant mind and was highly respected by all members of the Tennessee Bar.

Albert was an Editor, Lawyer and a Politician. Born at the old Tipton home on Doe River.
    At one time he was appointed Fire Marshall of the state of Tennessee at which time he lived on a beautiful fram on the Nollichucky River in Green County, Tennessee, on August 10, 1892 he married Mary Belle Carter, a descentant of the family for whom the county was named.
    Mrs. Tipton was an active member collecting and preserving the early family history of both sides.

He adopted the prfession of his father, grand-father, and his great-grand father-- that of the law.  He is now a prascticing attorney in Elizabethton, Tennessee, He is living in the ancestral home of his great-grand-father, A. J. Tipton
