1814-1890Bought land in Clay Co. Georgia on Feb. 7, 1857. Sold land on Aug. 23,1860. 1860 Census of athe 969th district of Clay Co., Ga. taken on the6th of July listed his occupation as farmer. The value of his realestate was 10,000.

Thomas Jefferson Killebrew
1840-1925Enlisted in the Georgia State Militia in the Confederate Army.Discharged April 30, 1865. Moved to Dale Co., Alabama (on the banks ofthe Choctawhatchee River,) 2 miles southwest of Newton, Dale Co. Al.Here he was a farmer and soon bought a small mill used as a grist mill,rice mill and cotton gin. In 1872, his son Thomas Jefferson KillebrewJr. joined him in the Killebrew and Son business to manufacture woolengoods. They featured "Killebrew" jeans. In the 1920 census the familywas living on "Killebrew" st., Newton, Dale, Al.
