EVEN Odd Fellow
Caswell lived all his life near Crystal in Lee County Kentucky.
He stood 6 ft. 7in. and he was a Squire (unpaid lawman). At the age of 76 Caswell was found dead in his barn and when he was plced in the casket rope burns were found on his neck causing the family who earier thought he died of natural causes to supect foul play.
The old Cox homestead where I was born and raised is about a mile from the old Caswell Tipton homestead.
We sold the Cox place to my uncle Charlie Gross in 1946.
Caswell is buried at the Logue Cemetery on the old Logue place.
