First; I will my soul to God who gave it - I having six children which lived to be of lawful age, to wit: LUCRETIA B. BREWER, PLEASANT WEAR, SEPTEMA OLIVIA HULL FOWLKES, WILLIE BLOUNT, JONATHAN CASWELL, and LAVINA RUTH ATKINS and I will W. B. TIPTON, deceased, him by REBECCA A. Three Hundred dollars. J. C. TIPTON Two hundred dollars, S. R. ATKINS five Hundred dollars. Whereas J. H. FOWLKES borrowed from S. R. ATKINS by W. B. TIPTON one hundred dollars & promised to pay lawful interest thereon in the year 1866, I will he pays the same to S. O. H. FOWLKES, his wife, in place of LAVINA R. ATKINS - and I give PLEAST W. BROWN more than any of my children, notwithstanding I will her heirs come in for an equal share of the remainder - I will that LAVINA R. ATKINS repurchase real estate with her money. Which she is to have and to hold as long as she lives then it is to go to her children, tho I give her power to sell and convey if she sess proper, but she must lay it out in real estate again. I wish my husband W. B. TIPTON to have all my property during his lifetime for his support and maintenance - at his death it is to be divided amongst my children above named in the order mentioned above - If there is not enough property to give each the amounts named it is to be divided in that proportion as near as possible - This 23rd 1879RUTH B. TIPTON
Codicil -
I also wish my husband W. B. TIPTON to have the right to sell and reinvest the real estate in other real estate, if he should think best for his interest and comfort RUTH B. TIPTONWitnesses:
