William TIPTON

The three brothers Samuel, William an Aquilla settled in the Ohio Valley about 1775.

     Will probated 4-1-1797, book 5, page 509, Baltimore County Md. Court House.
Bequests: To son Aquilla, "Tipton's Puzzle" and addition to "Tipton's Puzzle" son Joshua, "Joseph's Favor" and "Tipton's Chance" To children of son Nicholas 60 acres to tbe taken out of tracts " William's Pasture" and "Bond's Industry" mother of said children to live on same during widowhood.
To: Daughters, Isabelle and Angelico, remaining parts of thesetwo tracts.
Executors: Son Aquilla and son in-law Mordecai Price.
Witnesses: Nicodemus Bond, John Bond, Shadrack Bond, & Thomas Cockey Deye.

Tabitha WRIGHT

Ther is a lot of information concerning this family and some of it doesn't make sence.
I believe that Tabitha was William's 1st. wife and died after son William's birth in 1739 since the next child was born in 1745 6 years later, this was a long time in those days without getting pregnant. So I believe William married Angelica sometime around 1744.
I also have some doubt about Anglica's age since she would have been 52 when the last child was born, but not impossible.


Thomas TIPTON

Last Will & Testament of William Pearce of Anne Arundel County
dated 12 September 1719, proved 19 October 1719

In the name of God, Amen! I William Pearce of Anne Arundell County being Sick &
Weak in Body but of sound mind & Judgement (Blessed be God) do make contstitute &
appoint this my last Will & testament thereby revoking all Former Wills by me
heretoforemade. In Manner & form following that is to say~~Firstly before all things I
recommend my Soul into the hands of Allmighty God believing Remission of Sins &
Everlasting Life through the Meritts Death & Passion of Jesus Christ my Lord; and only
Saviour. And for the better disposal of my Worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God
to bless me I dispose thereof as followeth. I do give & bequeath all my Land to be equally
divided between my two Sons William & John Pearce and to their Heirs forever, and in
Case either of them shall die before the Said Lands be divided and Leave Issue, then the
Heirs of the body of the deceased shall have an equal Right in the Said Lands with my
Surviving Son. And it is my Will & Mind that my Said Sons be at age to work for
themselves as they shall arrive to the Age of Sixteen Years Successfully. And I do make
constitute & appoint my Loving Wife Elisabeth Pearce full & whole Executrix of this my
Last Will & Testament desiring her to bring up my Children in the Fear of God, and to let
them have such Part of my Personall estate as by Law shall belong to them as they shall
arrive to the age of twenty one Years Successfully. Lastly I do make & contstitute my two Loving Nephews Thomas & William Tipton Trustees of this my Last Will & Testament, desiring them to See the same duly executed, by me made this twelfth day of September In the Year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven hundred and Nineteen.

On the back of the aforegoing Will was thus endorst (first) Oct. 19th~~ Then came the
Reverend Henry Hall and John Stevens Subscribing Evidences to the within Will & made
oath on the holy Evangelists that they Saw the Testator Sign Seal and Deliver the within
Instrument of Writing as his Last Will & testament & that he published & Declared the
Same so to be. And at the time of his So doing he was of Sound and perfect mind &
Memory to the best of their knowledge. Sworn before me. Phil. Hammond D.C.A.

Jonathan TIPTON

the land books At Annapolis cite the grant to Jonathan Tipton of the 122 acres called "Cold Bottom"  as name or red tape connected with the surveys and certificates returned before Jonathan death, which must have occured about 1800-1803, for on Aug. 27, 1803, letters of administration were granted for the estate of Jonathan Tipton who died intestate.

John TIPTON

He owner of lands in Maryland where the city of Baltimore now stands. The land was leasded but no deed was ever given for it. He signed the Oath of Allegiance in Baltimore County Maryland on Febuary 8 1778.

                                                    IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN
    I John Tipton of the county of Madison and the state of Kentucky, being of perfect sound mind and memory make this, my last will and testament; hereby revoking  all other wills by me made and every part therof.
    First I desire that my just debts be first paid.
   Second I give to my son Jabez Tipton, Five shillings.
    I give to the heirs and representatives of my daughter Tabitha deceased five shillings.
    I give to my daughter, Ruth if living five shillling. If dead then to her heirs five shillings.
    I gave and bequeath to my granddson Alexis Tipton son of Jabez Tipton, to him and his heirs forever, all my estate, both real and personal, except said 14 sums.
    Lastly I appoint my grandson Alexis my executor.
    I request that no inventory may be made of my estate and that he may not be held to security.
    In testimony whereof I have here unto  set my hand and seal this fourth day of July in the year 1807
